Join us for a Climate Strike event!

Attend at SUNY Adirondack , 640 Bay Road, Queensbury, from 11-2.

You may have seen the newspaper reports of Greta Thunberg, a 16 year old Swedish Girl, who has been a leader of a youth movement in Europe and is now sailing across the Atlantic to draw attention to the need for climate action by the nations of the world who will be meeting at the UN climate summit three days later.

LWVSC supports this Climate Strike event initiated by Youth of the World. The Program, called "Climate Hope in Action" features displays and films provided by local environmental groups which will help us to understand the issue and the needs of the movement.

NOTE: We will be registering voters at this event.

In addition to the LWV, the Climate Strike is supported by the Sierra Club and 350.org. as well as many other organizations. There will be 100s of events nationwide on September 20 & 21.
