Take a step into the past with Frederick Grant (portrayed by Ben Kemp), the oldest son of famed Civil War General and two-term President Ulysses S. Grant. Fred devoted himself to helping his father write his memoirs during the final months before he passed away in a cottage on Mt. McGregor in the Adirondack foothills.
Through intimate stories Fred will show a different side to his famous father and discuss other members of the family including his mother Julia (the first first-lady to write her memoirs).
Discover President Grant's relationship to Susan B. Anthony and the women's rights movement as well as the Grant family's ties to Saratoga Springs, NY. There will be time left for audience questions at the end.
