Ensuring Fair, Accessible, and Accurate Elections

Presenter: Dr. Christopher Mann, Associate Professor of Political Science at Skidmore College

The League of Women Voters of Saratoga County is remotely hosting this program on Fair, Accessible, and Accurate Elections by Dr. Christopher Mann. This topic has generated a lot of interest in recent years as election integrity has been called into question and voter suppression has mounted.

Dr. Mann, a scholar and professor of political science at Skidmore College, has worked on voting rights, election administration, and voter participation for three decades. His research has focused on the effects of changing rules about pre-Election Day voting and voter registration. He is a member of the Advisory Board at the MIT Election Data and Science Lab.

He will be presenting on policies and procedures that are essential to ensuring that every vote counts, as well as what voters have a right to expect when they go to a polling place to ensure a neutral, harassment-free environment.
