Meetup: Electrifying the Empire State with All-Electric, Emissions-Free Homes

Anshul Gupta

Virtual event - Online on Zoom

Join research scientist and climate advocate, Anshul Gupta, for a presentation focusing on the science, technology, economics, and politics of building electrification in New York. In line with the voices and choices emphasis of his organization, Anshul got involved in this campaign after converting his own home to all-electric operations and disconnecting his gas service.

Anshul Gupta’s research, while mostly in computer science, has touched upon areas in energy, materials, and decarbonization, in which he has multiple publications as well as one issued and three pending patents. He has volunteered in multiple roles with the NY State chapter’s coalition of the Climate Reality Project, an international organization founded and led by former Vice President Al Gore, that prepares its members to use their voices and everyday choices to fight climate change. He has worked on several climate campaigns of various sizes and scopes, from the fight to beat back the Byhalia Connection Pipeline in Memphis to helping save solar carports in a neighboring town.

Online on Zoom. Please register in advance for this virtual meeting at https://tinyurl.com/5y5dwv2x. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the Zoom meeting.
