  Black Theatre Troupe of Upstate NY’s first production at The Rep! In DEAD AND BREATHING, by Chisa Hutchinson, a rich and cranky cancer patient tries like hell to convince her hospice caregiver to assist in her suicide. Through surprising humor and persistent questioning, DEAD AND BREATHING investigates morality and the intense tug-of-war between the right to die with dignity and the idea of life as a gift.   Erasing Spaces and Faces: The Legacy of Urban Renewal in Saratoga Springs

  Join us at the Frederick Allen Lodge, one of the last standing Black establishments in Saratoga, for a third storytelling/open mic event. Current and past residents are invited to share how they and their families were displaced or affected by “urban removal” and gentrification through stories. poems, songs and more. We’ll paint a community mural of Congress Street pre-urban renewal after the open mic story sharing hour. Family Friendly - all ages welcome! FREE and OPEN TO ALL.   Virtual Town Hall on the Life and Legacy of W.E.B. DuBois
  Capital Region Antiracism Training Initiative

  This dynamic and inclusive training initiative is designed to provide our community with the tools they need to identify and combat racism at all levels. The initiative seeks to provide robust interactive training with a variety of experts intended to cultivate your inner antiracist. Over the course of two months, events will be held to listen and learn about how we as a community can eliminate race-based discrimination and ensure the health and well-being of all persons.   Congress Park, Saratoga Springs
  11:00 a.m. - 3 p.m.

  Saratoga Black Lives Matter is hosting this event to provide information on local elections and issues, and encourage people to VOTE! Event will include speakers, live music, food, the opportunity to check your voter registration status as well a chance to meet and talk with local candidates. ALL candidates are welcome and encouraged to attend. MLK Saratoga will be there to share responses to our candidate survey and coordinate rides to the polls.

  Workshop: American Politics & Community Today
  C.R.E.A.T.E. Community Studios: 70 Beekman Street, Saratoga

  What does it mean to be an American in the 21st century? What does a model American do, and what responsibilities do Americans have to their communities and each other?
